MOUNTAIN PROPERTY

Wortelgat owns over 800 hectares on the mountain called Bellevue. Our Western border is Maanskynkop (936 metres above sea level) and the eastern border is a beautiful, indigenous forest with four waterfalls. The property includes the areas above the cliffs with a servitude through Crystal Kloof Farm.

It is ideal for wilderness experiences and future plans include small group trails and over nighting in a hut to be built in conjunction with the Old Boys Stap en Toer Klub from Stellenbosch. Groups can use this as a base for the first night allowing for wilderness hikes in the mountain for the duration of stay. Wilderness trips designed to use the mountain property for hiking, abseiling, sleeping then kayaking across the lagoon to the outdoor camp where a host of activities can be done including a beach experience. This experience can be utilised by outdoor, hiking and birding groups.
